The "Dentistry" education program offers interdisciplinary modules that are horizontally integrated from medical-biological components, as well as continuing education courses in medicine, dentistry, and elective (dentistry and non-dentistry) fields. The program is based on the logical and coherent integration of norms and pathologies according to organ systems and fundamental and clinical topics. The curriculum progresses from simple to complex, with classes organized according to the principle of building upon each other in a logically arranged prerequisite system.
The aim of the dentistry training programme is to train highly qualified and competent dentists who are competitive in terms of employment or further education at both national and international levels, possessing fundamental theoretical and evidence-based scientific knowledge, innovative-technological visions that will ensure practical application, and important practical and clinical skills, in accordance with international dentistry education standards. The programme focuses on instilling professional and liberal values that will support the integration of graduates into educational and health communities.
The goal of the programme is to produce individuals who possess effective leadership and communication skills in the professional field, who can be active members of teamwork in dentistry, who understand the role of the dentist in regional, national, and international public health systems, and who can develop appropriate professional values, accountability, and critical self-esteem based on all of this.
The fundamental task of the programme is to equip the individual with a broad knowledge base regarding preventive measures related to oral health and the capacity to implement these measures; to have the ability to develop an appropriate treatment plan using modern aetiological factors, clinical scenarios, differential diagnoses, and guidelines, and to maintain the results obtained in all areas of dentistry.
The programme focuses on developing students' professional and ethical values; it includes a research component and promotes the continuous self-improvement effort that forms the basis of the professional development of health professionals.
Conducted as a single cycle, the dentistry training programme ensures the realization of the university's mission, which focuses on supporting and improving public health, by providing health education with high scientific and ethical standards and continuously developing modern educational approaches with new teaching methods.
