BAU International University Batumi offers a Master's Degree Programme in Public Health and Health Policies designed for professionals who want to take an active role in the future of healthcare systems. The programme brings together fields such as public health, health policies, epidemiology, data analysis, health economics, and the management of health systems within a holistic educational model. The curriculum is structured in alignment with the WHO-ASPHER Public Health Workforce Competency Framework, developed by the World Health Organisation and the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region.

Consisting of two academic years and four semesters, the programme offers a comprehensive education process of 120 ECTS credits in total. Within the scope of 3,600 academic hours of study, students have the opportunity to support their theoretical knowledge with practical work. Conducted with a hybrid education model, at least 80 ECTS of the programme is completed on campus, while up to 40 ECTS of theoretical courses can be taken online. Graduates who successfully complete the programme earn the degree of "Master of Public Health and Health Policy".

In the field of Health Systems and Governance, health policies, health economics and financing, health legislation, financial management, and digital health systems are covered. In the Evidence-Based Decision Making and Data Analysis section, biostatistics, applied data analysis, and scientific writing skills come to the fore. Other academic areas of the programme cover community behaviour, health communication, advocacy, epidemiology, and intervention approaches to public health threats.

Focusing on bringing together theoretical knowledge with professional practice in the education process, lectures, seminars, case-based learning, problem-based learning, practical studies, scientific article analyses, and group projects are utilised. In this way, students gain competence in research, analytical thinking, data interpretation, health policy development, and strategic decision-making.

In the final stage of the programme, students carry out a master's project in a real professional environment. During the project process, which can be carried out in healthcare institutions, public health organisations, or partner institutions, students analyse a specific public health issue and develop evidence-based recommendations. Subsequently, the research process is elevated to an academic dimension with the preparation of a master's thesis.
