BAU International University Batumi Student Attended the Heart Failure 2026 Congress

Reshma Niraula, a student at BAU International University Batumi Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, attended the Heart Failure 2026 Congress held in Barcelona, Spain, between 9 and 12 May 2026. Organised by the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology, the congress brought together international experts with current scientific developments, clinical applications and research results in the field of heart failure. Reshma Niraula’s participation in the congress was supported with full funding by BAU International University Batumi.
International Scientific Experience at Heart Failure 2026
Heart Failure 2026 stood out as one of the comprehensive international scientific events bringing together healthcare professionals, researchers and academics working in the field of heart failure. The scientific programme of the congress addressed new therapeutic approaches, diagnostic methods, clinical applications, digital health solutions and current research.
During the congress, Reshma Niraula attended symposia, workshops, clinical case discussions and scientific conferences. These sessions enabled modern approaches used in the management of heart failure to be evaluated in their different aspects. The scientific programme also supported the student in closely following current research in cardiology and examining the clinical experiences of experts from different countries.
Research Work in the Field of Heart Failure
Alongside her academic training, Reshma Niraula also plays an active role in scientific research activities. The study conducted by the research team she belongs to in the field of heart failure pharmacotherapy was selected to be presented at the annual congress of the European Society of Cardiology.
The acceptance of the research for presentation at an international scientific platform constituted an important development in terms of bringing students' academic work together with scientific circles. This process offered a powerful experience supporting the development of research methods, scientific data evaluation and academic presentation skills.
The Importance of Scientific Congresses for Medical Students
International scientific congresses support medical students in keeping up with current scientific knowledge, discovering different fields of research and building connections with academic circles. Highly attended events like Heart Failure 2026 expand students' professional perspectives by bringing clinical knowledge and scientific research together on the same platform.
Symposia and case discussions show how theoretical knowledge is linked to clinical decision-making processes, while workshops reinforce the practice-oriented learning process. Sharing experiences among experts from different countries contributes to the comparison of international approaches in cardiology and heart failure.
Full Support for Student Development from BAU Batumi
BAU International University Batumi supports students' participation in international scientific events and their active role in research studies.
