BAU International University Batumi concluded the BAU Sim Games 2026, held on 4–5 July 2026, with an evaluation meeting and award ceremony. Bringing together teams of medical students from different universities across Georgia, the organisation was the first medical simulation competition of this scale held in the country. Over two days, students demonstrated their clinical knowledge, practical skills, and teamwork on realistic and highly complex scenarios. The second day of the competition ended with a debriefing session involving the participating teams, simulation instructors, mentors, and the organising committee.

Within the scope of BAU Sim Games 2026, six simulation tasks prepared in the fields of emergency medicine and critical care were implemented. Under time pressure, the teams evaluated the cases they encountered, made evidence-based clinical decisions, and managed the distribution of tasks within the team. The scenarios required the students not only to determine the correct medical intervention but also to utilise their communication, coordination, and prioritisation skills. Performances were evaluated by internationally certified simulation instructors in line with predetermined criteria. Following the completion of the competition, mentors also participated in the evaluation process.

During the debriefing meeting held on the second day, the teams revisited the cases they encountered throughout the competition. Simulation instructors and mentors provided professional feedback on the highlights of the practices and areas needing improvement. Participants also shared their two-day experiences, evaluating the impact of clinical decisions, team communication, and time management on the scenarios. This session created a collaborative closing segment where students could review their own performances before the competition results were announced.

The program continued with the official award ceremony, where the first, second, and third-place teams of BAU Sim Games 2026 were announced. The winning teams were presented with trophies and certificates for their clinical competence, practical skills, and teamwork. The first-place team also earned the right to participate in a training program aligned with American Heart Association standards. It was announced that the training voucher awarded to the team would be used at an internationally authorised training center operating in Georgia. Thus, the first-place prize of the competition provided an opportunity for the students to continue their clinical training even after the event.

The simulation scenarios used in BAU Sim Games 2026 allowed students to encounter complex clinical situations in a controlled environment before practicing on actual patients. The process of evaluation, feedback, and debriefing conducted throughout the competition ensured that clinical knowledge was transferred into practice and team performance was addressed together. The efforts dedicated to simulation training within the Medical Programme of BAU International University Batumi and the practices within the Clinical Skills and OSCE Centre formed the academic foundation of the organisation.

Following the completion of BAU Sim Games 2026, BAU International University Batumi thanked the participating students, mentors, simulation instructors, and the organising team for their contributions. The two-day event concluded with six clinical tasks, a detailed evaluation process, and the award ceremony. The event allowed medical students to test their clinical competence in realistic scenarios and enabled teams from different universities to share experiences within the same simulation environment.
